HEALING FROM GENERATIONAL AND CULTURAL WOUNDS

Jane Chae | Filmmaker

Jane is a proud daughter of the Most High King.  Daughter is her first film since 2020.  Her previous work include student short films Touch, Time, and Turn (2017), and Move (2020, 3mins).  The later was created during the pandemic on Jane’s ipad with the help and encouragement of her sister, Chris.

Jane is interested in telling stories that depict the transformational process of overcoming in Christ.  She juxtaposes faith and culture to achieve this.  Themes include grace, forgiveness, generational healing, and overcoming cultural and generational barriers.

Professionally, Jane has been working for a children’s media company since 2010.  She currently serves in the media ministry at Overcomers in Christ Faith Assembly in Brooklyn, NY.  Jane is constantly exploring ways to use film and media as vehicles to answer the charge in Matthew 28:19.  She gives glory to God who in Christ Jesus gives us all that we need for every good work.
